Bengaluru: Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has signed a definitive agreement to form a majority-owned joint venture with TGI Group, a leading diversified business group headquartered in Lagos.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the partnership will establish RCPL’s presence in Nigeria, one of Africa’s largest consumer markets.
Through the joint venture, RCPL will introduce its FMCG portfolio in Nigeria, leveraging TGI Group’s manufacturing capabilities and distribution network.
T. Krishnakumar, Director, RCPL, said the partnership marks a key step in RCPL’s global expansion and strengthens its ambition to build a leading global FMCG business from India.
Rahul Savara, Group Managing Director, TGI Group, said the collaboration combines complementary strengths in product development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution to deliver long-term value to consumers.
Established in 1980, TGI Group operates across food, consumer goods, agribusiness, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and distribution, with a strong presence in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
