The Ministry of Ayush is set to host the National Ayush Mission Conclave 2025 on May 1-2 at Kaivalyadham in Lonavala, Maharashtra, bringing together experts, policymakers, health professionals, and researchers to shape the future of Ayush-based healthcare. The event will focus on advancing the integration of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homeopathy within mainstream healthcare, making wellness more accessible, affordable, and evidence-driven.

Union Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav will inaugurate the conclave, which will be attended by the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Health Ministers from nine states and union territories. Ministry of Ayush Secretary Rajesh Kotecha and other dignitaries will also participate, alongside senior government officials, academicians, and mission directors from state and UT Ayush departments. The two-day event will feature plenary sessions, policy roundtables, and technical discussions, highlighting best practices, successful state-led initiatives, and technological advancements in the Ayush sector.

The Union Minister emphasized that the conclave represents a significant step toward building a collaborative ecosystem to strengthen wellness and healthcare infrastructure across the country. He reiterated the government’s vision of holistic health for all, driven by a robust and integrative Ayush framework. The meeting aims to review progress under the National Ayush Mission and address emerging challenges while laying out a roadmap for a self-reliant and scalable Ayush healthcare system.

The conclave will cover a broad range of themes, including financial management, monitoring and evaluation, human resources strengthening, integration with modern medicine, and quality assurance. It will showcase best practices, regulatory advancements, IT-driven healthcare innovations, investment opportunities, and export strategies, with insights from participating states and UTs.

Among the key announcements during the conclave will be the release of the Blueprint for Ayush Policy 2025 and Standard Treatment Guidelines for metabolic disorders within the Ayush system. A ministerial roundtable featuring the Union Minister alongside state and UT Health and Ayush Ministers will discuss strategies to further strengthen the National Ayush Mission. Expert presentations from institutions including the Directorate General of Health Services, the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers, Invest India, and the Ayush Export Promotion Council will provide insights into accreditation, quality standards, and investment facilitation. Delegates will also take part in guided yoga and meditation sessions.

The National Ayush Mission, launched in 2014, has played a vital role in preserving and promoting India’s traditional systems of medicine, integrating them into mainstream healthcare through initiatives such as Ayushman Arogya Mandir under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The 2023 edition of the conclave led to key resolutions, including the expansion of Ayush Health and Wellness Centres and the integration of Ayush services with national health programs. The 2025 event aims to build on these achievements with a renewed focus on innovation, standardization, and international outreach. The conclave is expected to create actionable strategies to further enhance the reach and effectiveness of Ayush-based healthcare across India.
