The Ministry of Ayush will host Yoga Connect 2025, a hybrid global summit on June 14 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, as a key prelude to the 11th International Day of Yoga. The event will gather over 1,000 participants in person, alongside virtual attendees from leading international yoga institutions and wellness communities worldwide.
Coordinated by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), the summit will unite experts from India, Bahrain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea, representing diverse backgrounds in yoga, healthcare, research, and wellness. The event underscores India’s leadership in the global yoga movement, celebrating a decade of growth since the United Nations declared June 21 as International Day of Yoga in 2014.
A major highlight will be the release of the Yoga Prabhava report, a nationwide impact study conducted by CCRYN assessing the effects of International Day of Yoga initiatives over the past decade. The report, highly relevant to academicians, researchers, and public health professionals, will provide critical insights into yoga’s transformative influence across India.
Additionally, the summit will unveil three significant knowledge products:
- Decadal Impact of Yoga (E-book)
- Scientometric Analysis of Yoga Research Report
- Bhartiya Vriksha Vaibhavam, an illustrative booklet highlighting the importance of native Indian trees
The event will feature thematic discussions on topics ranging from yoga’s role in preventing non-communicable diseases to yoga commerce and industry. Participants include renowned figures such as Swami Baba Ramdev, Acharya BalaKrishna, HR Nagendra, His Holiness Bikkhu Sanghasena, and Sri Bharath Bhushan.
Celebrating ten years of India’s global yoga movement, Yoga Connect 2025 serves as a platform for shaping yoga’s future, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to health, balance, and unity on the world stage.
