MyGov Hosts ‘Think Social @ MyGov’ Workshop to Strengthen Digital Governance Communication

India’s MyGov platform, under the Ministry of Electronics & IT, organized Think Social @ MyGov, a one-day workshop on June 12, 2025, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, aimed at enhancing digital communication strategies across government ministries and departments. The event brought together digital communication professionals, policymakers, and industry experts from platforms like YouTube and Meta to explore ways to improve citizen engagement, content development, and outreach methodologies.

CEO Nand Kumarum emphasized the growing role of MyGov in citizen-centric governance, highlighting the platform’s flagship campaigns that have facilitated large-scale public participation and transparency. He outlined strategies to leverage digital platforms for effective policymaking, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Janbhagidari, or participatory governance.

Expert-led sessions focused on optimizing visibility, engagement, and analytics, integrating Google Trends, WhatsApp API, Threads, and Meta AI into governance communication. Speakers, including Garima Tiwari, Ashish Khare, Upendra Upadhyay, and Renu Singh, shared insights on strategic content creation, digital storytelling, data-driven decision-making, and impactful outreach.

The workshop showcased successful campaigns such as Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, National Creators Awards, Chandrayaan 3 Maha Quiz, Campus Ambassador Programme, GDP Podcast, Roar for Nature, MyGov WhatsApp services during COVID-19, Operation Sindoor, and MyGov Stream, emphasizing innovative content formats, narrative-driven communication, and audience relevance.

MyGov’s commitment to data-driven governance and digital transparency was reinforced, marking a crucial step in advancing India’s digital engagement strategy and fostering inclusive citizen participation.
