Lok Samvardhan Parv to Celebrate 11 Years of Inclusive Development with Artisans and Cultural Showcases

0

The Ministry of Minority Affairs is set to commemorate 11 years of governance focused on empowerment and inclusion with Lok Samvardhan Parv, a five-day cultural and economic showcase beginning June 11 at Birsa Munda Lawn, Gandhi Darshan, Raj Ghat, New Delhi. Designed as a platform to highlight India’s rich heritage and entrepreneurial spirit, the event will bring together artisans, traditional craftspeople, culinary experts, and folk performers from across northern India.

Over 50 artisans from states including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will participate, displaying traditional crafts such as Laakh ki Chudiyan, Blue Pottery, Phulkari, Banarasi Brocade, Leather Crafts, Wood Carving, and Embroidery. The exhibition will serve as both a cultural experience and an economic opportunity, allowing artisans to engage directly with buyers and expand their market reach.

A special focus will be placed on success stories from flagship programs such as Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) and schemes implemented by the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC). These initiatives have played a pivotal role in economic empowerment, skill development, and heritage preservation for minority communities, ensuring sustained livelihoods and entrepreneurship.

In addition to the exhibition-cum-sale, the event will feature live folk performances, offering visitors a glimpse into India’s diverse artistic traditions. The Ministry envisions Lok Samvardhan Parv as not only a commemoration but a renewed commitment to progress, cultural pride, and economic inclusivity, inviting the public to participate in this celebration of resilience and growth.
