Prime Miister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to poverty eradication, marking 11 years of transformative governance under the Garib Kalyan initiative. Modi emphasized that a compassionate, service-oriented government has led to the upliftment of 250 million citizens from poverty, ensuring inclusive economic growth and social development.
Modi credited the success of flagship welfare programs such as PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat, which have collectively enhanced access to housing, clean cooking fuel, financial inclusion, and healthcare for millions of underprivileged citizens. He also underlined the importance of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and digital inclusion, which have helped streamline social welfare distribution while minimizing leakages.
In a statement shared on social media, Modi reiterated the government’s vision for an inclusive and self-reliant India, emphasizing that economic empowerment and rural infrastructure remain core priorities. He declared that over the last decade, India’s transformative policies have ensured dignity and prosperity for marginalized communities, demonstrating efficient governance and social equity.
Modi’s remarks coincided with growing discussions on expanding welfare initiatives, including enhanced rural employment programs, infrastructure development, and economic reforms. The NDA government, he said, remains steadfast in ensuring long-term growth and poverty alleviation, reinforcing India’s global leadership in social development.
With expanded policy frameworks and targeted financial support, Modi reaffirmed that the government will continue to focus on economic inclusion, welfare expansion, and digital-led empowerment, strengthening India’s progress toward self-reliance and sustainable development.
