Prime Minister Modi delivered a powerful address at the Rozgar Mela, where over 51,000 young individuals received appointment letters for permanent government positions across various departments of the Central Government. His speech underscored the vital role of youth in nation-building and economic progress, urging them to carry out their duties with sincerity and dedication to contribute to Bharat’s journey toward becoming a developed nation. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed employees would strengthen the country’s internal security, develop modern infrastructure, and bring about positive transformations in the lives of workers.

Modi highlighted that the foundation of any nation’s progress lies in its youth, who are instrumental in shaping the future. The government has actively expanded opportunities for employment and self-employment through initiatives such as Skill India, Startup India, and Digital India, ensuring that young people can harness their talents and innovation. These platforms have propelled Bharat to global prominence in technology, data, and digital advancements. He emphasized that Bharat’s leadership in real-time digital transactions is a testament to the contributions of its youth, with the success of UPI, ONDC, and the Government e-Marketplace reshaping the digital economy.

Discussing economic policies, Modi pointed to the Manufacturing Mission announced in this year’s budget as a major push for the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The mission aims to provide Indian youth with opportunities to manufacture products of global standards, boosting MSMEs and small entrepreneurs while creating new employment avenues. He referred to the International Monetary Fund’s projection that Bharat would continue to be the world’s fastest-growing economy, leading to job creation across multiple sectors. Production and exports in industries such as automobiles and footwear have reached new milestones, contributing significantly to employment growth.

Modi also highlighted record-breaking achievements in sectors like Khadi and Village Industries, which saw turnover surpass **US Rs. 20.96 billion**, generating jobs in rural areas. Inland Water Transport has experienced rapid expansion, with annual cargo movement increasing from **18 million tonnes in 2014** to over **145 million tonnes this year** due to policy interventions that expanded the number of National Waterways from **5 to over 110**, with an operational length now reaching nearly **5,000 kilometers**.

Turning to the creative economy, Modi mentioned the upcoming World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit—WAVES 2025—in Mumbai, which will serve as a platform for young innovators in media, gaming, and entertainment. For the first time, Bharat’s young creators will have direct access to industry leaders and investors, opening doors for startups in the entertainment sector. The event will showcase technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, XR, and immersive media, reinforcing Bharat’s potential in digital content creation.

Modi emphasized inclusiveness as a defining aspect of Bharat’s progress, celebrating the increasing participation of women across all sectors. The recent UPSC results demonstrated this shift, with the top two positions secured by women and three of the top five candidates being female. Women’s leadership in bureaucracy, space exploration, and science exemplifies the transformation underway. Government initiatives such as Self-Help Groups, Bima Sakhi, Bank Sakhi, and Krishi Sakhi are empowering rural women by expanding economic opportunities. Currently, **over 90 lakh self-help groups** involve more than **100 million women**, and the government has increased their financial support fivefold, allowing access to **collateral-free loans of up to US Rs. 250,000**. Women-led startups are also growing, with **over 50,000 startups in Bharat** having women in key roles.

Modi encouraged the newly appointed government employees to embrace public service with a sense of duty, ensuring that their work benefits every citizen. He urged them to take part in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by planting a tree in honor of their mothers, reinforcing the connection between environmental responsibility and personal values. He also advocated for embracing healthy lifestyles through yoga, emphasizing the importance of individual well-being for national productivity.

He reminded them to utilize Mission Karmayogi for skill enhancement and leadership development, reiterating that government positions should be treated as opportunities to serve and uplift the nation. Reflecting on Civil Services Day, he reaffirmed his guiding mantra: **“Nagrik Devo Bhava—the citizen is God”**, urging employees to prioritize citizen welfare above all.

Modi concluded by inspiring the youth to dedicate themselves to Bharat’s development, reminding them that as they realize their personal dreams, they must also strive to fulfill the aspirations of **1.4 billion citizens**. He expressed confidence that their contributions would enhance the nation’s pride and propel Bharat toward prosperity and progress.
