India Showcases Holistic Health Leadership at Osaka Expo 2025 Through Daily Yoga Sessions and Ayush Promotion

0

India’s Ministry of Ayush is making a significant impact at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, with an extensive showcase of its holistic health traditions. As part of the initiative, daily yoga sessions are being conducted at the iconic India Pavilion—Bharat, drawing global attention to India’s rich heritage in integrative wellness practices.

The sessions, running from May 2 to October 13, 2025, are a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Ayush, the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the Embassy of India in Tokyo, the Consulate General of India in Osaka-Kobe, and the Heartfulness Institute. In just over a month, 55 sessions have taken place, engaging more than 2,100 participants, including Japanese nationals and international visitors.

The inaugural session, held on May 2, coincided with Japan’s Golden Week, an extended holiday period, resulting in high footfall at the pavilion. The event was graced by India’s Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, and Consul General in Osaka-Kobe, Chandru Appar, setting the stage for sustained engagement over the next six months.

Looking ahead, the Yoga Week scheduled from June 15 to June 21 will feature multiple daily sessions, culminating in a grand celebration on International Day of Yoga (June 21). A diverse audience will experience morning, evening, and Y-break formats designed for accessibility and engagement.

Beyond yoga, India’s presence at the Expo extends to showcasing traditional medicinal plants, herbs, and Ayush-based health products during the India Pavilion-Bharat event from June 29 to July 5. On June 30, a dedicated B2B meet and roadshow will foster global partnerships and investment in Ayush healthcare solutions.

India’s participation at World Expo 2025 reinforces its philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—”the world is one family”—demonstrating its leadership in sustainable living and holistic health on the global stage. Through yoga and Ayush, India continues to contribute meaningfully to international conversations on wellness and integrative healthcare.
