India Post, in collaboration with the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), inaugurated the India Post Service Desk and Art Installations at the CSMT Aqua Metro Line on Friday, 21st November 2025, at 4:30 PM, at CSMT Metro Station, Entry/Exit Gates A2/A3. This initiative marked a significant step toward enhancing commuter convenience and expanding access to essential citizen-centric services within the Mumbai Metro network.
The inauguration was conducted by Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra & Goa Circle, along with Kaiya Arora, Director of Postal Services, Mumbai Region, and senior officers from India Post and MMRCL.
The newly launched art installations at the station showcased the diverse products and services of India Post. These installations blended aesthetic appeal with informative content, offering commuters a unique visual engagement with the postal department’s legacy and innovations.
The dedicated Service Desk introduced at the station featured:
An extension counter offering a range of philatelic accessories, including augmented reality (AR) postcards, philately-themed coasters, water bottles, and tote bags.
Comprehensive information on various India Post services to assist passengers.
A special “My Stamp” counter, enabling citizens to create personalised stamps featuring their own photographs, providing a memorable and customizable philatelic experience.
This collaboration demonstrated India Post’s commitment to bringing postal services closer to citizens by integrating them into high-footfall, modern transit hubs.
Further expanding this outreach, three more metro stations—BKC, SEEPZ, and Cuffe Parade—are in the pipeline for similar installations and service desks in the coming phase.
