Jitendra Singh noted that, despite Hindi being the mother tongue for many, it lacked formal acceptance in official discourse for years. Previously, receiving or sending Hindi correspondence was uncommon, but attitudes have shifted, with growing acceptance across India, including in the southern states. He pointed out that the younger generation is embracing Hindi without political barriers, marking a positive cultural transformation.
Drawing international comparisons, Jitendra Singh highlighted language preservation efforts in France and Germany, suggesting that India must promote Hindi through pride and consistent use rather than mere translation exercises. He stressed that translation should retain the essence of communication, ensuring its technical integrity rather than substituting English terms directly.
He acknowledged practical challenges, such as the shortage of qualified Hindi teachers in some regions and administrative constraints, urging dynamic engagement from committee members. Beyond formal meetings, he encouraged continuous contributions to mainstream Hindi across governance through proactive initiatives.
Concluding his address, Jitendra Singh called for innovative strategies to strengthen Hindi usage, welcoming suggestions from stakeholders and reaffirming their importance in shaping future policies.
