Mumbai: World Environment Day 2026 was observed across the globe on Friday with governments, environmental organisations, businesses and citizens reaffirming their commitment towards protecting the planet and addressing the growing challenges posed by climate change.

The annual observance, led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), once again brought together millions of people from different countries to participate in activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living.
