Velhe Tehsil is being considered as one of the remote tehsils of Pune district and its geographical and climatic conditions are not so favourable for traditional farming. The efforts taken by Bank of Maharashtra has generated awareness among villagers who are motivated for such plantations in future as well. This will make them self-reliant with sustainable conservation of environment. The event was coordinated by Bank’s Mahabank Agricultural Research & Rural Development Foundation (MARDEF) Trust.
