Mumbai: The much-awaited Pratham Darshan (first glimpse) of Lalbaugcha Raja was unveiled to the digital and print media on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal.
Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General of Maharashtra Postal Circle, released a set of four picture postcards on “Ganesh Utsav: Cultural Heritage of Maharashtra” along with a special cancellation.
To mark the occasion, Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Postal Circle, released a set of four beautifully crafted picture postcards titled “Ganesh Utsav: Cultural Heritage of Maharashtra”, along with a special cancellation.
The postcards, designed exclusively for this historic release by renowned calligrapher and Padma awardee Achyut Palav, capture the essence of Maharashtra’s vibrant Ganesh Utsav traditions. Palav was present at the event to grace the moment.
The release ceremony was also attended by Babasaheb Sudam Kambale, Chairman, and Sudhir Sitaram Salavi, Secretary of the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, along with Dr. Sudhir Jakhere, APMG (BD) Maharashtra Circle; Yadagiri Nyalapelli, Asstt. Director (PSR) Maharashtra Circle; and noted philatelist Ashwini Manjure.
Extending his greetings, Shri Amitabh Singh said the initiative celebrates both the devotion of Lord Ganesha’s devotees and the enduring heritage of philately across Maharashtra and Goa.
