Maharashtra Governor presides over the First Convocation of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University
The Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of public universities in the State Bhagat Singh Koshyari presided over the first Convocation of the newly created Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai on Thursday (Oct 6).
The Convocation Ceremony held at the Cawasji Jahangir Convocation Hall of University of Mumbai was attended by former State Lokayukta Justice M L Tahaliyani, Vice Chancellor Dr Rajanish Kamat, Registrar Prof Yuvraj Malghe, Director, Board of Evaluation and Assessment Vijaya Yeole, Director of Institute of Science Dr Jairam Khobragade, Principal of Sydenham College Dr Madhuri Kagalkar, members of various boards of authorities of the university and graduating students.
In all 413 students were awarded degrees at the Convocation. Thirteen students receiving gold medals and certificates of merits were also felicitated.
