Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India deliver the inaugural address of IITF 2021 (November 14-27, 2021) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi today. Present on the occasion were Shri Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh, Hon’ble Minister, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Madhya Pradesh, Shri L.C. Goyal, Hon’ble Chairman and Managing Director, ITPO ,Shri Dilip Kumar, Special Secretary, Department of Industries, Govt. of Bihar, Shri Jitendra Kumar Singh, Director, Department of Industries, Govt. of Jharkhand, and Shri Vibhu Nayar, Executive Director, ITPO.

“India International Trade Fair 2021 takes place at a time when Indian economy is fast recovering from the impact of Covid 19. The India Trade   Promotion Organisation deserves all appreciation as this fair edition has been organised quickly with three times larger participation than the previous edition. Every year, IITF is growing in size and scale, and it is hoped that the next editions of such events will be held with record participation.   The Convention Centre, an important component of the ongoing iconic International Exhibition and Convention Centre (IECC) project, would be the finest and one of the world’s largest convention facilities. ITPO is consistently delivering IITF as a world-class event. IECC is suited to India’s stature as a rising economy,” stated out by the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India Shri Piyush Goyal, inaugurating the 40th edition of the IITF of ITPO at a well-attended function held at   Hall 5 of the  New Exhibition Hall of International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, today.

 

Present on occasion were Shri Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh, Hon’ble Minister, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Madhya Pradesh, H.E. MrsHayetTalbi EP Bilel, Ambassador of Tunisia in India, Shri L.C. Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director, ITPO, Shri Dilip Kumar, Special Secretary, Department of Industries, Govt. of Bihar, Shri Jitendra Kumar Singh, Director, Department of Industries, Govt. of Jharkhand, and Shri VibhuNayar, Executive Director, ITPO, foreign delegates, participants and media persons.

Shri Piyush Goyal commended ITPO and all other stakeholders for providing an ideal platform to the industry, especially to start-ups, women entrepreneurs and rural artisans.  These categories of entrepreneurs have also been given discounted booth allotment by ITPO and other Central Govt. Ministries such as MSME. He indicated that IECC would also be a unique symbol of ‘New India’ as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.  The government has its focus on five essential sutras, and these include: Economy, Exports, Infrastructure, Demand and Diversity for overall development in the country, he added. The hon’ble Minister also appealed to all the participants and visitors to strictly follow the Covid protocol specified by the Govt while visiting the trade fair.

In his welcome address, Shri L.C. Goyal, CMD, ITPO, highlighted the salient features of IITF 2021 (November 14-27). He said that although it was challenging to hold the fair due to time constraints, the fair has been organised, manifesting a solid determination of the Indian trade and industry.    He added that it is a proud moment for ITPO to host IITF this year including in the newly built 4 exhibition halls that were launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on October 13, 2021.

Shri Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh, Hon’ble Minister, the Hon’ble Minister of MSME and Export, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, highlighted Uttar’s the trade and tourism potential Pradesh.  He also pointed out that under the able guidance of the Chief Minister of state Uttar   Pradesh has become a role nodal for other states in infrastructure development and providing a conducive and safe environment to  MSMEs. Senior representatives of Partner State “Bihar” and Focus State’ Jharkhand’ also elaborated about trade, tourism and investment of avenues of their States.

The fair is open for Business Visitors from November 14 to 18, 2021, while all the visitors can visit the fair from November 19 to 27, 2021.  Apart from the New Exhibition complex, the fair has been organised in Halls7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12A.  There will be no sale of tickets at any of the Pragati Maidan Gates and Supreme Court   Metro Station/Pragati Maidan Metro Station.

 

The Public/Visitors are advised to cooperate and plan their visit by purchasing tickets in advance from their originating Metro Stations and online through the ITPO portal, i.e., www.indiatradefair.com.
