Major General Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander of the United Arab Emirates Naval Forces, is on an official visit to India from 7 to 9 July 2025. His visit, centred in New Delhi, is aimed at reinforcing bilateral maritime cooperation and advancing shared strategic interests in the Indian Ocean Region.
On 8 July, Alremeithi commenced his engagements by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial, honouring Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This solemn tribute was followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour and high-level bilateral meetings.
The UAE Navy Chief held detailed discussions with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, focusing on expanding operational collaboration, enhancing structured training exchanges, and deepening overall maritime ties between the two navies. Alremeithi also interacted with the Chief of Defence Staff during his visit.
This official engagement marks a key milestone in India-UAE naval relations, underlining both nations’ commitment to regional security and their growing convergence on maritime priorities in the Indo-Pacific.
