Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia outlined a comprehensive vision for India Post’s transformation at the Annual Business Meet 2025–26 held in New Delhi, calling the institution not just a service but a lifeline that connects the remotest corners of the country. Bringing together Heads of Circles from across India, the meeting focused on building India Post’s future readiness as a competitive logistics, financial and public service provider while reinforcing its grassroots character and citizen-centric mandate.

The Minister launched Dak Samvaad, a new monthly e-newsletter designed to showcase regional innovations, field-level stories, and the quiet resilience of India Post employees. The platform will serve as a bridge across the nationwide network, inspiring stakeholders through insights and success narratives anchored in public trust.

Secretary Posts Vandita Kaul inaugurated the event with an address highlighting achievements of the past year and laying out strategic priorities—chief among them being innovation, inclusivity and service excellence. Circle Heads presented business performance updates, shared region-specific initiatives and detailed plans to scale operations across banking, e-commerce, logistics and community delivery.

Scindia commended India Post for adopting a corporate-style structure with emphasis on performance metrics, innovation and accountability. He stressed the importance of cultivating a professional and service-oriented ethos within the organisation to help it compete in private-sector verticals while preserving its core social responsibility.

A key highlight of the event was Scindia’s announcement of a 20% to 30% business growth target for FY 2025–26 across Circles, tailored to their local potential and sectoral strengths. The Minister reaffirmed India Post’s mission to evolve into a sustainable profit centre for the Government of India without compromising public service commitments. He said process simplification, infrastructure upgrades, digital capacity-building and grassroots energy must converge to drive this transformation.

Reiterating India Post’s critical role in national integration and inclusive growth, Scindia said, “Today’s discussions reflect the vibrancy of a system deeply embedded in our villages and cities, one that enables financial inclusion, bridges digital divides and accelerates last-mile connectivity.” He described the Department as a frontline institution delivering trust, service and innovation.

The event concluded with a collective resolve to energise India Post through technology, local enterprise and a commitment to excellence—underscoring its enduring legacy and future promise as a catalyst for citizen-first service delivery.
