Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Cut by Up to ₹183.50; Relief for Hotels, Restaurants
New Delhi, July 1 (Forever News): State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reduced the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by up to ₹183.50 across major cities, offering significant relief to hotels, restaurants, caterers and other commercial establishments that rely on LPG for cooking.

The revised prices came into effect from July 1.
Under the latest revision, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹183.50 in Delhi and Lucknow, ₹181.50 in Chandigarh, ₹174 in Kolkata, and ₹173 in Patna.
Following the cut, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi now costs ₹2,930, down from ₹3,113 last month. In Chandigarh, the revised price is ₹2,954.50, while consumers in Patna will now pay ₹3,227. In Kolkata, the cylinder price has been reduced to ₹3,081.50 from ₹3,255.50.
The reduction comes after commercial LPG prices had witnessed multiple hikes in recent months due to rising global energy prices amid geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder, providing no additional relief to household consumers.
Earlier, the government had eased LPG supply restrictions for commercial and industrial users after fuel availability improved. It restored 50 per cent of supplies to customers whose allocations had earlier been suspended to prioritise domestic household demand.
During the period of supply constraints, the government had directed that C3-C4 hydrocarbon streams be used exclusively for LPG production under the Essential Commodities Act, diverting them from petrochemical and other downstream industries. The OMCs were also instructed to maintain comprehensive data on commercial and industrial LPG consumers to ensure efficient planning and supply management.
