DARPG Secretary Reviews Special Campaign 6 at Railway Offices in Mumbai
Mumbai, October 23, 2026: Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, reviewed the implementation of Special Campaign 6 at field offices of the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Finance in Mumbai on October 22, 2026. The visits focused on cleanliness, efficient space utilisation, disposal of obsolete records, waste management and the adoption of sustainable workplace practices.
As part of the visit to the field office of the Ministry of Railways, the Secretary visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).
As part of the review, Verma visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), where she assessed passenger amenities and initiatives to improve commuter convenience. She participated in Rail Jan Samvad, interacting with commuters to understand their experiences and review the facilities available at the station.
Additional Secretary, DARPG Puneet Yadav, Rajeev Srivastava, GM, Central Railways and other senior officers of Ministry of Railways were present during the event.
The inspection covered main-line platforms, ticketing facilities and the heritage building. The visit highlighted efforts to maintain clean, organised and passenger-friendly railway premises while improving public-facing services.
