Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Crowned Champions at All India Nau Sainik Camp 2026

Lonavala, July 13 (Forever News): The All India Nau Sainik Camp (AINSC) 2026, the flagship annual training camp of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for Naval Wing cadets, concluded on a high note at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, with the Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Directorate emerging as the Overall Champion.

Organised by the NCC Directorate Maharashtra on behalf of the Headquarters Directorate General NCC, the prestigious camp brought together 612 Naval Wing NCC cadets, including 204 girl cadets, representing all 17 NCC Directorates from across the country. The intensive training programme focused on professional military skills, maritime awareness, leadership development and national integration.

The closing ceremony was reviewed by Major General Vivek Tyagi, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Maharashtra, in the presence of Commodore S. Parthiban, Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji. Senior officers from the Maharashtra NCC Directorate and INS Shivaji also attended the ceremony.

The coveted Championship Trophy was awarded to the Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Directorate for its consistent excellence across various competitive events conducted during the camp.

Among the individual honours, Cadet Teeya Rajesh Awale from the Maharashtra Directorate was adjudged the Best Girl Cadet, while Cadet Sodha Rajveer Singh of the Assam Directorate received the Best Boy Cadet award.

One of the major highlights of the camp was the visit of Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General, NCC, who interacted with the cadets and commended their discipline, dedication and enthusiasm. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged the cadets to strive for excellence and shared valuable lessons from his distinguished military career, inspiring them to uphold the values of leadership, integrity, perseverance and selfless service.

Throughout the camp, cadets competed in a series of challenging naval events designed to simulate real-life maritime operations. Competitions included Boat Pulling, Drill, Semaphore (Visual Signalling), Firing and Ship Modelling, where participants displayed exceptional teamwork, precision and professionalism.

The cadets also underwent practical training in several specialised areas, including drone operations, cyber security, maritime navigation, firefighting and damage control, survival at sea, naval communication procedures, seamanship and leadership, through interactive sessions conducted by Indian Navy personnel.

The successful conclusion of AINSC 2026 once again highlighted the NCC’s commitment to nurturing disciplined, skilled and socially responsible youth while promoting maritime awareness, leadership qualities and the spirit of national service among India’s future leaders.
