Mumbai: International Conference on Folk Art and Folklore. The International Conference on Folk Art and Folklore has been organized virtually on 27, 28 and 29 May 2022 with the support of Government of India’s Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi and organized by Lokayan Educational and Cultural Institute, Mumbai.

The main theme of the conference is the importance of various parts of society in the study of folk art and folklore – India and the world. The conference will feature lectures on folk art and folklore. The conference will be attended by international speakers.

Internationally acclaimed folklorist Dr. Harishchandra Borkar’s introductory speech and keynote address an internationally acclaimed director Dr. Ravi Chaturvedi, Internationally acclaimed Kathak Guru Rajshri Shirke, Internationally renowned scholar Dr. Shailesh Srivastava, an internationally renowned psychiatrist. Manoj Bhatwadekar, internationally renowned painter Vasudeo Kamat, internationally renowned scholar from Canada Dr. Dr. Ratnakar Narle, an internationally renowned music scholar. Chaitanya Kunte etc. are the speakers.

The conference was conceived, coordinated and moderated by folk art and folklore scholar Dr. Monika Thakkar.
