The holy city of Ujjain will host “रूहmantic – PHDCCI’s 2nd Global Spirituality Mahakumbh” on 27 August 2025, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. The event will be inaugurated by Dr Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, as Guest of Honour. Spiritual leader Gauranga Das Prabhu will deliver the keynote address.
Senior officials including Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism, and Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh, will address the gathering. A key highlight will be the release of the PHDCCI-KPMG report titled “Faith & Flow: Navigating Crowds in India’s Sacred Spaces,” which explores the dynamics of spiritual tourism and its economic impact.
A Government-Industry Roundtable chaired by the Chief Minister will focus on infrastructure development, responsible hospitality, and cultural preservation. Thematic sessions will explore temple economies, Ujjain’s spiritual heritage and urban future, wellness tourism through yoga and Ayurveda, the role of digital technologies in spiritual access, and the cultural significance of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
Delegates will also visit Shri Mahakaleshwar and Kal Bhairav Temples to experience Ujjain’s spiritual legacy. The conclave is supported by E-Factor Experiences, Sri Mandir App, IRCTC, Mann Fleet Partners, KPMG, Indore Talk, Hotel Anjushree, ADTOI, FHRAI, IATO, and TAAI.
