Mumbai: The 19th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival 2026 (MIFF) has officially opened delegate registrations for filmmakers, cinema enthusiasts, media professionals and students from across the globe. The prestigious festival will be held from June 15 to 21, 2026, at the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) premises at Pedder Road in Mumbai.
Recognised as South Asia’s oldest and one of the most respected festivals dedicated to documentary, short fiction and animation films, MIFF continues to serve as a major platform for creative storytelling and cinematic innovation.
As India strengthens its position as a global content creation hub, MIFF remains an important launchpad for emerging filmmakers and creative talent from India and abroad.
Delegates can register online through the official festival portal at MIFF Official Website. Registration can also be completed directly via MIFF Delegate Dashboard.
New users are required to create an account, while existing users can log in using their credentials. The delegate registration fee has been fixed at Rs. 500.
Students can register free of cost. Applications under the student category will be verified by the organisers upon submission of supporting documents.

Founded in 1990 as the Bombay International Film Festival, MIFF has evolved into a landmark celebration of non-feature cinema. The 2026 edition will feature grand opening and closing ceremonies along with Indian and International Competition sections carrying the prestigious Golden and Silver Conch Awards and total cash prizes worth Rs. 55 lakh.
Major honours at the festival include the V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award, the Pramod Pati Award for Most Innovative/Experimental Film, Technical Excellence Awards, Best Student Film Award and Best Debut Director Award.
Apart from competitive sections, MIFF 2026 will showcase curated segments such as Prism, Independent Films, Country Focus Films, Restored Classics, Wildlife Films, Student Films and New Media & AI Films.
The festival will also host gala screenings, red carpet events, masterclasses, panel discussions and the Waves Doc Bazaar. In a first, the event will introduce an Immersive Market dedicated to VR, AR, XR and interactive storytelling, creating new opportunities for collaboration between creators, producers and technology innovators.
