New Delhi, January 16, 2026: The 39th Sub Junior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship, held from January 13 to 15, 2026, at the prestigious Talkatora Indoor Stadium, witnessed an impressive display of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship from young martial artists across the nation.
Among the standout performers was Tanish Vinod Khavanekar, a 12-year-old student of Class 6 at Airson English School, Badlapur (West). Representing Suraj Taekwondo Academy, Badlapur (West) under the expert guidance of Coach Pramod Kadam, Tanish competed in the Sub Junior Male Under 27 kg category. He showcased remarkable agility, focus, and determination, securing the Bronze Medal in a fiercely contested division.
His achievement not only brings pride to his school, academy, and hometown but also highlights the rising talent in Indian Taekwondo. Tanish’s dedication and performance have earned him accolades from coaches, peers, and sports enthusiasts alike.
