In a tightly choreographed 90-minute engineering blitz, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC), in collaboration with Central Railway, executed a suite of critical infrastructure upgrades on the Kalyan–Badlapur suburban rail corridor during a night block between 2:15 a.m. and 3:45 a.m.
The operation saw the successful launch of four girders for the MIDC Road Over Bridge (ROB), five girders for the Ambernath Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at the Kalyan end, and the complete dismantling of the Badlapur FOB along with both spans of the Ambernath FOB at the Karjat end.
The MIDC ROB girders were fully erected by 3:21 a.m., with bracing work over the track section already underway. This high-precision effort underscores MRVC’s commitment to accelerating Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) deliverables while enhancing commuter safety and station infrastructure.
