The Central Bank of India marked the culmination of its Hindi Month celebrations with a spirited award distribution ceremony and the grand finale of the All India Hindi Song Singing Competition at its Central Office in Mumbai.

The event was presided over by Managing Director and CEO Kalyan Kumar, along with Executive Directors M. V. Murlikrishna and Mahendra Dohare. The dignitaries honored winners of various Hindi Month competitions and released the September 2025 edition of the Bank’s in-house magazine Centralite.

The highlight of the occasion was the final round of the national Hindi song competition, featuring top performers from 13 zones across the country. Uttara R. Krishnan of the Chennai Zone clinched first place, followed by Manish Purohit from the Delhi Zone and Aadhya Sharma from the Lucknow Zone.

In his keynote address, Kumar emphasized the enduring legacy and evolving strength of the Hindi language. “Hindi has a rich and ancient history. Over time, this language has continued to evolve and grow stronger,” he said, urging staff to incorporate Hindi more actively in daily operations. He noted that such initiatives foster linguistic pride, organizational unity, and positive energy.

Chief General Manager Poppy Sharma delivered the welcome address, while General Manager Vasti Venkatesh offered the vote of thanks, closing the event on a note of cultural pride and institutional camaraderie.
