Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai, for the inauguration of the National Conference of Estimates Committees of Parliament and State/UT Legislative Bodies. Birla was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour on arrival.
The event marked the 75th anniversary of the Estimates Committee and brought together key figures from across India’s legislative landscape. Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, and Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Council Neelam Gorhe were among the dignitaries present.
