India’s journey toward a developed nation is being shaped by the active participation and leadership of women across all sectors, said the Prime Minister, emphasizing the transformative impact of women-led development over the past 11 years. Through a series of social and economic initiatives, the government has created an enabling environment that empowers women, strengthens their dignity, and fosters financial independence.

The Prime Minister reflected on the challenges faced by women in the past, acknowledging the hardships endured by mothers, sisters, and daughters. He highlighted the immense progress made in recent years, with women now setting benchmarks in education, entrepreneurship, sports, science, and the armed forces. Their accomplishments, he noted, are a source of national pride.

Among the key reforms credited with advancing women’s empowerment is the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which has significantly contributed to ensuring dignity and health for millions of women across the country. Financial inclusion has also been a central pillar of change, with the Jan Dhan Yojana providing bank accounts to previously unbanked women, enabling them to access economic opportunities with greater autonomy.

The Ujjwala Yojana has played a vital role in transforming households by providing clean cooking fuel and eliminating smoke-filled kitchens that once posed health hazards to women. The MUDRA loan scheme has further enabled millions of women to establish businesses and achieve financial independence, driving growth at the grassroots level.

The Prime Minister also reiterated the impact of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which prioritizes property ownership in women’s names, ensuring a greater sense of security and stability for families. Additionally, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign continues to inspire a cultural shift toward valuing and nurturing the girl child, reinforcing her rightful place in society.

Social media messages shared by the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering an ecosystem where women excel and inspire others. He stated that the achievements of women in various fields exemplify the resilience and talent that contribute to India’s progress, urging continued efforts to build a more inclusive and empowered society.
