India is set to host WAVES 2025, the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit, at the Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai, from May 1 to 4, bringing together leading media, entertainment, and technology pioneers. Spanning 15,000 square meters, the event will serve as a meeting ground for creators, investors, and industry giants, featuring over 100 exhibitors, including Netflix, Amazon, Google, Meta, Sony, Reliance, Adobe, Tata, Balaji Telefilms, Dharma Productions, Saregama, and Yash Raj Films. Next-generation innovators such as JetSynthesys, Digital Radio Mondiale, Free Stream Technologies, Neural Garage, and Fractal Picture will also participate, spotlighting cutting-edge advancements in digital media.
The centerpiece of WAVES 2025 is the Bharat Pavilion, spanning 1,470 square meters, celebrating India’s evolution in storytelling under the theme “Kala to Code.” Visitors will experience four immersive zones—Shruti, Kriti, Drishti, and Creator’s Leap—showcasing India’s journey from oral traditions and visual arts to contemporary digital innovations.
State governments will actively participate through dedicated State Pavilions, with Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh among those presenting their cultural and creative strengths. The MSME Pavilion and Start-Up Booths will provide emerging businesses and entrepreneurs in the media and entertainment sector with direct access to investors and industry leaders.
WAVES 2025 will also feature an expansive Gaming Arena, highlighting the rapid growth of gaming and esports. Companies including Microsoft & Xbox, Dream11, Krafton, Nazara, MPL, and JioGames will showcase the latest in interactive entertainment, reinforcing gaming’s influence on the global digital ecosystem.
The event is structured with business networking days from May 1 to 4, followed by public access on May 3 and 4. Exhibition timings are 10 AM to 6 PM from May 1 to 3, and 10 AM to 5 PM on May 4, offering exclusive insights into media, entertainment, and technological advancements.
Hosted by the Government of India, WAVES 2025 is a milestone event aimed at amplifying India’s global influence in content creation, intellectual property, and emerging technologies. Covering diverse industries such as broadcasting, print, television, radio, film, animation, gaming, comics, sound and music, advertising, digital media, social platforms, generative AI, augmented reality, virtual reality, and extended reality, the summit positions India as a hub for creative innovation and media convergence.
