A contingent of the Indian Air Force has arrived at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates to partake in Exercise Desert Flag-10, a prominent multinational air combat exercise. The exercise will see participation from MiG-29 and Jaguar aircraft fielded by the Indian Air Force.
Hosted by the UAE Air Force, Exercise Desert Flag involves contingents from several nations, including Australia, Bahrain, France, Germany, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, in addition to India. The event is scheduled to take place from April 21 to May 8, 2025.
The exercise aims to conduct complex and diverse fighter engagements while facilitating an exchange of operational knowledge and best practices among some of the world’s most capable air forces. Participation is expected to enhance mutual understanding, foster interoperability, and strengthen military cooperation between the involved nations.
The Indian Air Force’s involvement in this exercise highlights India’s dedication to fortifying defence relationships and fostering interoperability with friendly countries both in the region and globally.
