CERT-In Releases Cyber Security Handbook for Women on International Women’s Day

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has released the “Cyber Security Handbook for Mahila Suraksha” on International Women’s Day. The booklet aims to empower women across India with essential cyber hygiene practices to safeguard their online presence in today’s digital world.

CERT-In, the national agency for incident response as designated under Section 70B of the Information Technology Act, 2000, operates a 24×7 incident response Help Desk. It provides Incident Prevention and Response services, along with Security Quality Management Services. The organization is committed to raising cybersecurity awareness through regular publications and social media outreach.

The “Cyber Security Handbook for Mahila Suraksha” is a comprehensive guide that offers best practices for women to stay protected against cyber threats. The booklet can be accessed through CERT-In’s official website.

CERT-In’s mission is to enhance the security of India’s Communications and Information Infrastructure by proactively securing cyberspace. As the designated national agency under the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008, CERT-In performs key functions such as collecting, analyzing, and disseminating cyber incident information, issuing forecasts and alerts, implementing emergency response measures, and coordinating national cyber incident response activities.
