Patna: Bihar: ‘Hanuman’ remark irks RCP Singh. Union minister of Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, popularly known as RCP Singh, on Monday lost his cool at mediapersons for referring to him as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s “Hanuman”.

Singh, who is currently on a visit to Bihar’s Jamui district, was asked by the journalists for his reaction on being called the chief minister’s “Hanuman”. At this, he snapped at them saying that his name was Ram Chandra and not “Hanuman” and that he be addressed only by his name.

Notably, Nitish Kumar had publically announced that RCP Singh was his second in command. Singh was also elevated to party’s national president’s post after the 2020 Assembly polls.

After becoming a union minister at the Centre putting the party’s political interest aside, he was denied the Rajya Sabha ticket this time. After his tenure as a Rajya Sabha MP ends on July 7, he would either resign from the post of union minister or wait for the Prime Minister’s call.
