Bank of Maharashtra organizes two-day Home, Auto, Education & SHG Expo in Pune

Pune: Bank of Maharashtra, a premier Public Sector Bank in the country organizes Home, Auto, Education & Self-Help Group (SHG) Expo in Pune on 4th and 5th November,2023.

The Expo brought together renowned Builders, Automobile Dealers, Educational Institutions & Self Help groups from Pune city as well as outside the city, creating an unparalleled experience for attendees. There were more than 100 stalls in total of reputed builders, automobile dealers, prestigious educational institutions including 80 stalls of SHGs who showcased their best in the Expo.

The event was inaugurated by Shri A S Rajeev, MD & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra, along with Shri Asheesh Pandey and Shri Rohit Rishi, Executive Directors of the Bank.
Other dignitaries who were present for the inauguration were Smt. Shalini Kadu Patil, Project Director, DRDA; Smt. Rashmi Darad, CGM, NABARD; Shri Raju Nandkar, Deputy Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation; Shri Sachin Sanap, Trustee, Modern Education Society; Shri Ashok Chandak, Trustee, Modern Education Society; Shri. Vasant Chabukswar, Principal Nowrosjee Wadia College; Shri Vrishali Randhir, Principal, Ness Wadia College of Commerce; alongwith Bank officials.

During the inauguration, Shri A S Rajeev, MD & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra, shared his profound insights, “This expo exemplifies our commitment to foster empowerment, exploration, and excellence. By bringing together builders, automobile dealers, educational institutions and Self-Help Groups, we aimed to create a platform for dreams to take flight and enrich lives of the communities we serve.”

The builders showcased the latest trends in the housing industry, offering attendees the opportunity to explore a wide range of housing options. Visitors looking for their dream car witnessed the latest innovations in the automobile industry and saw a diverse array of vehicles to various market segments. Educational Institutions offered insights into various educational opportunities and skill development courses. The expo also supported local Self-Help Groups, providing them with a platform to exhibit their products and services. The Maharashtrian cuisine offered through live counters by Self Help Groups were a delight for visitors, beyond the expo the platform catered to celebration of festivities with the customer and other supply-side constituents, bringing the bank at the centre.

The visitors were also able to witness Aadhar enrolments through “Aadhar on Wheels” initiative, the METCO stall explained people about the importance of WILL creation and how METCO can help them create one. At the event the visitors were also able to see Digital Gallery of the Bank and experienced the Metaverse and also ATM on wheels to enable customer withdrawal of cash on the go. Other stalls such as Gramin Mahila Va Balak Vikas Mandal (GMVBM), Rural development Centre (RDC) and MARDEF were also set up to showcase various rural development initiatives taken by the bank for upliftment of rural lives.

The Home, Auto, Education and SHG Expo received an overwhelming response from the public, with a substantial number of footfalls during the event. Visitors were not only able to explore a wide range of housing and automobile options but also gathered information about courses that can help them achieve their career goals.

Bank of Maharashtra views this expo as the foundation for fostering greater collaboration and prosperity for all stakeholders involved. By providing such platforms, the bank seeks to be a catalyst for economic growth and success in the region.
