New Delhi: BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Thursday said talks with Pakistan cannot take place if there was cross-border terrorism, noting that for a reasonable discussion, “blasts and gunshots have to stop”.
In an interview to a news channel, Modi said if a country looks strong, even its neighbours will change and atmosphere will change.
Asked if talks and terror can continue in relation to Pakistan, Modi said: “Is it possible to have discussions amidst bomb blasts and gunshots?”
“Do you think it is possible to have a discussion amidst the deafening noise of bomb blasts and gunshots? So to have a reasonable discussion, first the blasts and gunshots have to stop.
