Against a backdrop of beautifully lit stage and decorations, the students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar, put up a stellar performance to celebrate their 16th Annual Day function. The programme was beautifully woven through a plethora of Dance Drama, collaborating Yoga, Skating and Taaekwondo. With the theme ‘Reflection of Life’, the annual function focussed on Social issues such as “Women Empowerment”,”Child Labour”, “Farmer Suicides”, etc.

The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Commisssioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, Shri Hemant Nagrale, I.P.S. The Guests of Honour for the evening were Mr. K K Varkhedkar, Chief Engineer, CIDCO and Shri Vijay Menon, Training Panelist IAS Officers and Advisor of Aswamedha at IIM, Indore and Br. Avyayamrita Chitanya, In-Charge, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Nerul.


The Principal Brni Rekha presented the Annual Report in front of the distinguished guests and the audience which chronicled the events and activities carried out in the school during the year, together with the stupendous achievements of the students. “Our mission is to provide value-based education and mould the character of the younger generation through a system of wholesome learning, so that the earnest endeavour to achieve progress and prosperity in life is matched by an ardent desire to extend selfless service to society, one complementing the other.” said Principal Brni. The Annual Magazine “Amritanidhi 2016-17” was released by the Chief Guest and the revered Tulsi plant was gifted to all the VIP dignitaries as is a customary practice of all Amrita Vidyalayam functions.

“Dreams are those that do not let you sleep”, said Shri Hemant Nagrale in his inspiring speech and motivated the students to aspire, have goals and be steadfast in pursuing their ambitions against all odds. He urged the parents to encourage and support the students in their dreams.
