Bank of Maharashtra organises Town Hall Meeting at Pune


Pune: Pune City, Pune West and Pune East Zones of Bank of
Maharashtra (BoM) jointly organised Town Hall Meeting on 6 th March, 2020. The
Theme of Town Hall Meeting was ‘Connect- Management by Passion; Management
by Compassion’. Around 700 staff working in 192 branches & admin offices of Pune
Zones participated in Town Hall Meeting. Mr. A S Rajeev, Managing Director & CEO,
Mr. Hemant Tamta, Executive Director, Dr. N Muniraju, General Manager, HRM, Mr.
P R Khatavkar, General Manager & Zonal Head, PCZ; Mr. H. A. Mazire, Zonal
Manager, PEZ; Mr. P K Das, Zonal Manager, PWZ of Bank of Maharashtra attended
Town Hall Meeting.
In his speech Mr. A S Rajeev, MD&CEO said that we have to increase our
engagement with our customers by leveraging technology with personal touch. We
have to divert our customers more on Bank’s digital channels for better customer
experience, so that branches will get time to focus on business growth.
Mr. Rajeev further elaborated that all three Pune zones play a vital role in Bank’s
business, which together comprises of around 15% of Business Mix of the Bank.
Performance of Pune zones is vital for the Bank’s growth.
Mr. Hemant Tamta, Executive Director appealed all staff to be part of Bank’s
business growth. Bank has shown its inherent strength, robust growth & resilience
on trot for last four quarters in all parameters including declaring profits.
Mr. Tamata further exhorted branches to be friendlier to its customers by using local
language while interacting with customers. He said that unique feature of this Town
Hall meeting is participation of all the cadres at one platform with an objective to
prove that Bank is ready to move ahead with leaps & bound with more agility. He
insisted on developing a coherent environment for all in the Bank for participative
Dr. N Muniraju, General Manager, HRM explained that customer service comprises
of knowledge about the products & services, agility & speed of delivery, politeness &
punctuality at work with smile. Dr. Muniraju exhorted that now time has come, Bank
should grow at a faster pace and every employee should contribute positively
towards this growth.
Mr. P R Khatavkar, General Manager & Zonal Head, Pune City Zone explained to all
the 700 staff, the importance of all three Pune zones in the Bank & it’s contribution in
Bank business, BoM presence in Pune is highest and it should reflect in Business as
well. He appealed to all employees to strive hard to achieve it.
Informative videos on Enhanced Access & Service Excellence (EASE) were shown
to all participants. Bank of Maharashtra has been ranked second in the ‘Front-
