Western Zone, LIC of India donates fully Air Conditioned Police Chowky to Mumbai Police

Mumbai: Western Zone, LIC of India donates fully Air Conditioned Police Chowky to Mumbai Police. Continuing its track record of supporting Mumbai Police, LIC of India, Western Zone,  has donated fully Air Conditioned Portacabin to Mumbai Police at the strategically important location opposite Churchgate station. In a simple function on 18.01.2021, the Portacabin was inaugurated by Shri C. Vikas Rao, Zonal Manager, Western Zone, in the presence of Mr. Shashikumar Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 1, Mumbai, and senior officials of LIC, Western Zone and Mumbai Police, as per tradition by breaking a coconut. The Portacabin has two chambers, one for the Police personnel, and the second for senior officer. On the occasion, Mr. Meena has praised the contribution of LIC to society and to Mumbai Police. In the past also, LIC has donated one Portacabin to Mumbai Police at Gateway of India and contributed Raincoats in 2019 and 2020.

Earlier in the morning of 18.01.2021, Shri Vikas Rao had also inaugurated Western Railway local train with LIC Branding on the exterior panels at Churchgate Station. As part of its outreach activities to all Mumbaikars, and increasing Brand Visibility, LIC Western Zone has branded a total of 12 trains, 7 on Western and 5 on Central lines. In interactions with LIC officials, Mr. Raj Kumar Lal, Chief Commercial Manager, Churchgate Station, narrated his positive experience with LIC across the years and said that LIC’s motto of “Yogakshemam Vahamyaham” is entirely apt, since LIC is always there for the welfare of our policyholders. Western Railways has placed photographs of the event on their Twitter handle also.
