Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry in presence of Shri Suresh Angadi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, Shri V K Yadav, Chairman, Railway Board and Board Members, awarded three “Heroes\Employees of Central Railway” for showing exemplary bravery and presence of mind during the course of their duties On the occasion of “Parivartan Sanghoshthi”, a two days conference organised on 7th and 8th December 2019 at New Delhi.
Shri Narendra Choudhary, working as Suburban Motorman, Mumbai Division, during his duty of driving a suburban train on the Harbour line from Panvel to CSMT on 29.11.2019, noticed an iron rod on the tracks and immediately applied emergency brakes, thereby averting a major mishap and thus saving many lives. Shri Narendra Choudhary is one of the Heroes of Central Railway who was awarded by the Hon’ble Minister of Railways.
Shri Anil Kumar, RPF Constable, Mumbai Division, on duty at Thane station noticed one person trying to cross the railway tracks from platform no 6 to platform no 7 (Kalyan end) on 3.12.2019. Shri Anil Kumar, jumped on the tracks, lifted the person safely onto platform no 7, thus displaying bravery and presence of mind. Shri Anil Kumar, is one of the Heroes of Central Railway who was awarded by the Hon’ble Minister of Railways.
Shri Tara Prasad Acharya, Commercial Inspector, Nagpur division of Central Railway, A dedicated and committed worker whose Marketing and Innovative skills ensured awarding 32 Non Fare Revenue contracts in the current financial year valued at Rs.3.32 crores. These contracts not only generated revenues for Railways but also gave a value addition to passenger amenities. Shri Tara Prasad Acharya is one of the Heroes of Central Railway who was awarded by the Hon’ble Minister of Railways.
These Heroes/Employees of Central Railway have created a very positive image of Central Railway and are a source of inspiration to others.
