Child Cancer Patients from Tata Hospital have a fun filled day at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan

A group of 40 paediatric cancer patients from Tata Memorial Hospital had a fun-filled visit to Raj Bhavan Mumbai and met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday (24 May). The Governor interacted with the children and distributed sweets and snacks.

The visit of the paediatric cancer patients to Raj Bhavan was organised by the Tata Memorial Hospital Impact Foundation.

Dr Anisha Chakraborty of the Tata Memorial Hospital told the Governor that the children were very happy to see the peacocks and the ocean in Raj Bhavan. She told the Governor that out of 1 lakh cancer patients registered at the Hospital last year, 1800 were paediatric patients. She said early diagnosis and treatment improves the convalescence rate from cancer considerably.

Janhavi Sawant of TMC Impact Foundation briefed the meeting about the activities of the Foundation. The programme was conducted by Anil Trivedi while Suresh Mishra sang a bhajan on the occasion.
