Mumbai; Central Railway observes International Day of Yoga 2021 on 21.6.2021. Shri Alok Kansal, General Manager, Central Railway and Smt. Tanuja Kansal, President, CRWWO along with Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway with their spouses participated in an online yoga session through a web link on the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2021 on 21.6.2021. Ms. Ruchi Khosla, Yoga Therapist, gave a demo of “Common Yoga Protocol” on this occasion.
Shri Kansal said that “the concept of International Day of Yoga was visualized by Shri Narendra Modiji, Hon’ble Prime Minister in the year 2014. Yoga gives care to your body, mind, and breadth. It harmonizes the body with mind and breadth through breathing exercises. Yoga develops our physical mental and spiritual wellbeing, whereas other forms of exercise give only physical wellness. Yoga is the practice that will help you get rid of unhealthy practices in life. Yoga is your fitness guru”.
Shri Kansal further said that keeping yoga our daily routine will help to keep doctors away. Yoga will relax you internally also and helps achieve your mind calmness. He wished everyone on this occasion and further he said “yogjeevan ka vah darshan hai jo manushya ko uski atma se jodta hai.”

Central Railway observes International Day of Yoga 2021 on 21.6.2021. Smt. Tanuja Kansal, President, Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization said that “ during the pandemic Yoga is the best thing to adopt as a lifestyle habit. It not only helps us to build a strong physical, mental and spiritual heath system but also combined with breathing and meditation as a best element to take care of body, mind and soul. Yoga brings its own flavor and benefits which can be practiced by people of all ages. During this time mental health is important for survival. Smt. Kansal further said ‘Rog mukt jeene ki ho chahat niyamit yog karne ki dalo aadat. Yog man ko shhant rakhne ka ek accha abhyas hai’.
Divisional Railway Managers of Mumbai, Bhusaval, Nagpur, Pune and Solapur Divisions with their spouses organized yoga session at their respective headquarters. Similar yoga sessions were organized at major railway stations, workshops, hospitals, lobbies, RPF barracks, etc.Yoga Day related webcards were posted in social media. 30 second jingle on Yoga Day broadcast on FM Channels at Mumbai, Jalgaon, Solapur, Nagpur and Pune. Jingle was broadcast on Central Announcing System and Public Address System at railway stations on Central Railway. Essay competition and slogan competition are also being conducted at railway schools over Central Railway.
