MULTI-SPECIALITY MEDICAL CAMP BY INDIAN NAVY AT FISHING VILLAGE IN NAVI MUMBAI

A large scale multi-speciality camp was organised on 23 Oct 2016 by the Indian Navy at Hanuman Koliwada, a fishing village in Uran, Navi Mumbai benefitting over 1200 residents by providing specialist cover in Gyneocology, Paediatrics, Dental, Eye, Ent Surgery, Medicine and Skin, a free bone densitometry check-up, free medicines and spectacles.

The camp for the fishing community, inaugurated by Surg Rear Admiral Ravi Kalra, NM, VSM Commanding Officer Asvini in presence of Commodore ML Mathew, Senior Officer, Naval Station Karanja and the Sarpanch of Uran, also emphasised the Indian Navy’s commitment to furtherance of coastal security initiatives to interact, assist and strengthen links with the fishing community, who are among the key stakeholders.
