MTNL Mumbai has taken steps to reduce call drops



MTNL always gives prime importance to all its valued customers for their needs & satisfaction regarding services provided by MTNL.
Network improvement drive has been undertaken as one of the proactive measures by MTNL to improve mobile service.In particular reducing call drop, MTNL has started various activities like upgradation of network, reduction of fluctuation, increase/relocate towers etc. New BTSs were added, augmented capacity of existing BTSs, optimized various cell level parameters and optimized radio frequency (RF net work) through extensive RF drive.

To assess the impact of various activities taken place in the last three months, a test drive was carried out in southern part around 151 kms covering important areas like Shivaji Park, Prabhadevi, Dr. A.B. Road Worli, Haji Ali, Peddar Road, Marine Drive, Churchgate, Nariman Point, Frountain, GPO , P’Mello Road Wadala, Dadar T.T., Dadar, Mahim, Bandra.

During test very few incidents of call drop were notice as minimal as 5 locations viz. Dockyard Road, Nariman Point, Plaza Cinema, Five Gardens, Wadala. This exercise is being conducted on regular basis to improve overall mobile service experience by our esteemed customers
