Iran-US talks to focus on nuclear issues

Tehran: A two-day meeting scheduled for Monday between Iran and the US in Geneva will focus mainly on nuclear issues, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Sunday.

The meeting comes ahead of the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5Ư or the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the US, China, Russia, France, Britain – plus Germany scheduled for June 16-20 in Vienna, IRNA news agency reported.

The American delegation in Monday’s meeting will be headed by US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, Araqchi said.
