The 10 day long Ganpati festival is celebrated with much fervor and zest across Maharashtra. According to estimates, last year more than 50,000 idols were immersed in Mumbai. Immersion starts from the second day, followed by the fifth, seventh and ends with the final immersion of all the remaining idols on the eleventh day. Given the huge number of idol immersions that takes place, authorities place utmost importance on implementation of all possible safety and security measures.
EsselWorld and Water Kingdom, fully committed towards the development and support of the locales around the twin park, has been efficiently carrying out the job of helping government authorities with Ganesh idol immersions at Gorai and Marve jetty.
This year EsselWorld staff expects around 70-75 small and large size Ganesh Idols to be immersed at the both the Jetty. On request from local authorities, the park authorities every year cooperates by offering ferry services to carry the huge Ganesh idols in deep sea during the visarjan period. Water Kingdom life guards are also deployed during these periods as a precautionary measure against any accident.
The company has been practicing this for the last 25 years and this year too in continuation with it, plans to deploy ferries, life guards and other staff on important visarjan days for smooth sailing of the entire process.
