Plot –
The movie is a biography on the life and times of Superstar Sanjay Dutt.
His trials and tribulations the ups and downs the struggle and battle in between to present day.
What’s Good –
The colourful lifestyle of Sanjay Duty is portrayed as real as it was possibl, many fans and many non lovers will come to know how many wrong choices the man made and how much price he paid for it and how he how he accepted his demons and rectified his faults step by step.
Star of the movie Actor Ranbir Kapoors transformation from the lanky fellow he is  to the bulky body of Sanjubaba is a great effort and he emulates his every style and  dialogues with perfection he literally carries the movie from frame 1 to last.
Actor Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal do a pretty good acting performance as well.
The two songs which  stand out superbly are :-
‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’ the song which emulates his drug rehabilitation phase and it’s so convincingly motivating that the lyrics and Ranbir’s acting will give you goosebumps,
And the second song is the Item number at the end with Sanjay Dutt himself doing a special Appearance I felt that was the major highlight of the film after it ended.
The movie is a emotional comedy drama which jumps between these 2 emotions multiple times making you laugh and cry again and again and again.
What’s Bad –
The rest of the songs of the movie not up to the high  scale of expectations the movie sets,
Atleast 2 times in the beautiful narrative the screenplay lags and becomes mundane and boring for a couple of minutes,  not much though.
My Verdict – Fans of Sanjay Dutt  and Ranbir Kapoor will love the movie,
Not fans of Sanjay Dutt will start loving him henceforth.
My Rating –
4 of 5 stars
