Diesel run cabs, private cars to face regulatory heat soon

New Delhi: Diesel cars owners in the National Capital Region may have to comply with stringent regulations in the coming days. The Delhi High Court is in favour of barring diesel cabs from plying on the NCR roads, and also making private diesel cars “a bit unattractive” to check vehicular pollution.

According to The Times of India report, while the Court asked the Central Government on Thursday to explore the possibilities of banning diesel-run cabs from plying on the NCR roads, it reminded the governments it was high time they “revolutionized the transport sector” by reducing diesel-run vehicles in general.
