Donation is Part under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Program
Mumbai, October 1, 2018: Shri Dinabandhu Mohapatra, MD & CEO, Bank of India during his visit to Kolkata donated a Maruti Omni Van to Niharkana Rehabilitation Centre under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program. The program was held in the presence of Shri Abhijit Bose, General Manager, NBG East and Shri Radha Kanta Hota, Zonal Manager, Kolkata Zone.
Niharkana is a Society managed by Ms. Kanta Chakraborty who has adopted 20 girl child who had been abandoned by their families. Under her care and tutelage these children have been rehabilitated and come out of the world of begging, drugs and living on the streets. Some of these girls have won gold and silver medals in International Karate Championship.
