Bank of Baroda celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week


Bank of Baroda is celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week from 26th Oct to 31st Oct.2015. On 28.10.2015, Bank organized a seminar at their Corporate Office in BKC which was attended by senior executives of the Bank. Shri A.M. Prasad, IPS, Joint Director CBI, Economic Offence Zone II Mumbai was the chief guest of the function.
While addressing the gathering of senior executives Mr. Prasad touched various aspects of role of bank officers where risk taking in credit decisions is inevitable. He further assured that it should not be construed that for every wrong decision, bank officers has to face prosecution. While doing investigations of fraud cases, CBI always analyze lapses as bonafide or malafide. Seminar largely focused on preventive vigilance in every area of banking, prudence and compliance of systems and procedures.
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Shri PS Jayakumar emphasized the need of accountability and transparency in our daily working.
During question answer session Shri Prasad and Shri Raju Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank replied to various queries of executives. Shri BB Joshi, Executive Director of the bank concluded the programme by proposing vote of thanks.
Bank has organising various activities/events in Vigilance Awareness Week like quiz on vigilance matters, essay competitions in various schools/colleges etc. for creating awareness to fight against corruption.
