Bank of Baroda celebrated World Hindi Day


Bank of Baroda celebrated World Hindi Day at its Corporate Office, Mumbai on 11th January 2016.
Ms. Shusham Bedi of Columbia University, USA, Smt. Usha Raje Saxena of U.K. Hindi Samiti, London and Prof. Heins Weiners Weseler of Institute of Linguistic and Philology, University of Uppsala, Sweden were the chief/special guests of the function.
While addressing the gathering the trio speakers highlighted the present position and promising future of Hindi in these countries. They also appreciated the efforts of the Bank in promoting usage of Hindi. They regarded Sanskrit and Hindi literature as an important tool in terms of inters cultural relations at international level.
The function was presided over by Shri. Ravi Kumar Arora, General Manager (In-charge -OL). The function was attended by a large number of top executives/officers/employees of Corporate Office.
It is noteworthy that the World Hindi Day is celebrated by all the overseas offices/branches of the bank across the globe which is an innovative effort in the banking industry.
