Al-Qaeda is active in India, operative nabbed in Delhi


New Delhi: In a major catch, the Delhi Police, Wednesday, arrested a terror suspect with links to Ayman al-Zawahiri’s al-Qaeda.
The 41-year-old man has been identified as one Asif, a native of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. The operation to nab him was carried out by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.

Some media reports claimed that not one but two terror suspects have been nabbed.

As per such reports the terror suspects had visited Pakistan and Afghanistan and had undergone training at Taliban camps.

It is possibly the first time that a terror operative linked to the al-Qaeda is under arrest in India.
